GameScape Feature Idea Log

hi! thank you for gamescape, this is an awesome project and its very useful

i realize development has slowed down these last few years, but i was wondering if you would consider, if its possible, allowing the use of decimal numbers when changing the unit for the grid. in the official french translation of dnd 5e, the base unit for one square is 1,5m instead of 5ft. It would be very useful for me to be able to see it directly in the app rather than converting it myself.

Thanks anyway and I hope you have a great day!

Plenty of the suggestions I see here are things I don’t think are at all necessary, so it’s very clear to me that what counts as simple/essential-enough to be included in a barebones VTT is a highly individual matter. For that reason I’ll only make one suggestion/request, and one very minor complaint:

Firstly, I would like to voice my support for alternative ways of calculating diagonals. Or at the very least, a way to turn off the distance display when moving tokens. I thought maybe if I set the grid distance to 0 that might turn off measurements, but alas it just said ‘the number has to be at least 1’.

Secondly, when opening that side panel with the grid settings in it, the text under the ‘player drawing layer’ header isn’t viewable for me (at least not without ctrl+minus). I know 1366x768 monitors are old these days, but they’re still around, and with my list of tabs and URL bar taking up precious vertical space, I’m left with only 629 vertical pixels of actual webpage on my laptop. So a vertical scrollbar would be appreciated.

That said, I really really like the look of this VTT. It is far and away the best simple VTT I’ve been able to find.

A couple of the current users are technical and have been doing small hacks with GameScape - which I appreciate.

Hi mike, do you have some hacks hints or examples. So we could try to do it ourself client-side, instead of bothering you in an infinite loop of requests about this legendary " image token" ?
